Our Little Monkey Turned 2!

I can't believe Anlsey is TWO!  It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the NICU on Thanksgiving Day!  It has seriously gone by in the blink of an eye!  She has so much personality and is so fun to be around.  I may be a little biased, but I think she's the cutest and sweetest two year old!  We had our 2 year check-up today, and she's doing great.  She weighed 22 pounds and was in the 8% in weight.  For her height, she is in the 86%!  She's going to be long and lean!  She's talking up a storm and understands everything you tell her!  Two weekends ago we had her birthday party at the house.  Luckily the rain held off, and we had a great time playing outside.  I didn't do a great job of getting pictures, but I wanted to share some of the details from the party.  We did a "Sock Monkey" theme for our "Little Monkey's 2nd Birthday!"

Here was the draft of the invitation I used.  I loved the sweet girl monkey.
My mom made Ansley's cute Sock Monkey dress.
The goody bags...a Barrel of Monkeys
Drinks...Jungle Juice
The sweet birthday girl!

This picture was too funny not to share.  Rockin' her new heels and playing with her new basketball goal.  (Look at that saggy diaper too!)

More Fall Fun

I feel like I never have a moment to sit down and blog; however, I am home with the flu, so I have PLENTY of time to catch up on blogging!  We have had a fun fall season so far.  Ansley has a few exciting weekends coming up, so be on the look-out for more blog posts. :)

Ansley's biggest surprise was a new swing set.  Mitch spent several nights and an entire Saturday putting it together.  Thank to wonderful family members and neighbors, it was installed.  He still has to put the bench on the outside of the bottom area and a "wave-rider" swing on, but it's ready for Ansley's level of play.  She loves her new swing set and going OUTSIDE.

We enjoyed another Halloween with my family.  Mitch's parents were out of town and didn't get to join us this year.  Ansley and Asher definitely understood more what to do, and sweet Anabelle loved walking around.  All three were so cute.

Ansley will be 2 in 11 days.  Where has the time gone?  She's so full of life and love.  Her newest thing is asking, "What's that?"  She probably says it about 100 times a day.  I told Mitch if he wanted to hear her ask that question a lot then he needed to take her to Publix. WOW!  She's so curious about her world around her.  She's recently moved into a big girl booster seat at the big table, and she is thrilled.  She still walks by her highchair, points, and says, "Baby chair."  She thinks she is such a big girl!  The best thing is that she has started saying, "Love you."  It's the sweetest thing ever to hear her say that without being prompted.  She also loves hugs and kisses.  We've been working with her on praying before bed and before eating.  She's so cute and will remind you if you forget!  She loves to say, "Amen!" too.  When we're praying at night, if I even stop a second to take a breath, she says, "Amen!"  She knows a lot of words and is talking up a storm.  She is also singing along with songs, and loves Wheels on the Bus.  Pray for us as we begin potty training the week of Thanksgiving Break.  That will be the next big step in her life!  Ansley has her 2 year pictures and birthday party coming up in the next two weekends.  We're looking forward to celebrating with our sweet girl.
