Christmas 2012 didn't go as planned, but it will definitely be a memorable one. The stomach virus ripped through the Greer family starting on Friday. It started with me on Friday morning and claimed its next victim, Mitch, on Christmas Eve. It was pretty much a 2 day virus, so I was in the bed with it Friday and Saturday, and Mitch was in bed Monday and Tuesday. The stomach virus is NEVER fun, but it is even worse during the holidays when you have to miss fun family functions. Ansley and I did get out of the house on Christmas to try to celebrate with my family, but it definitely wasn't the same without Mitch there. I spent most of the day texting and thinking about how he was doing.
Christmas morning was so special though with Ansley. She didn't understand everything, but she did know that she had some new toys. She went to each one and "ooed" and "ahhed". She was thrilled with all of her goodies from Santa. It's so much fun to be on the parent side of giving and seeing the joy in their eyes. I can't for next year when she'll understand a little more.
After we finished with Santa, Ansley and I headed over to my grandma's house for breakfast and Christmas with my mom's side of the family.

After my grandma's house, Ansley and I came home for a nap. Then we went to my parent's house to do Christmas with my parents and my sister's family. Dad did homemade pizza for dinner, and it was delicious as always.

| This tricycle was purchased in 1957 for my mom when she was 2 years old. My dad redid it for Asher to ride. It still has the price tag on the bottom...$18.95. |
