One week from today...

Our sweet Ansley will be ONE next Saturday.  Where has the time gone?  Look at these monthly pictures to see how much she has grown over the past 11 months.  More posts coming soon about her birthday and celebration.  :)

I can't wait to add her 12 month shot to the collection!

Halloween 2012

Ansley's first Halloween was so much fun.  She had no clue what was happening, but we had fun!  As always, the neighborhood was buzzing with cute kiddos in their costumes.  We have so much fun handing out candy and seeing everyone come by.  I estimated that I gave out around 400 pieces of candy!  Ansley was a sweet little strawberry, and she kept the costume on all night.  Our families came over to eat dinner and celebrate the fun night.  Asher was a giraffe, and Anabelle was a ballerina.  Ansley and Asher did some trick-or-treating around the neighborhood, and they both loved riding in the wagon.

Asher wasn't so sure about Ansley riding in his wagon.

All smiles after some candy.

11 Months Old

I'm a little late posting this, but we are 11 months old!  I can't believe in less than a month Ansley will be ONE!  She has developed such a cute personality, and she truly is a joy to be around.  She's starting to sleep a little later each morning, which is a nice relief from the previous 5:00 am wake-ups.  We discovered the key to her sleeping later...the paci!  She only used it when we would rock her, so we didn't think she needed it at night.  It's made a huge difference though.  She is pulling up on EVERYTHING with no effort, but she's not quite walking.  She has stood alone (check out the video), but she doesn't do it often.  Unless something drastically changes within the next few weeks, I don't think she'll be walking before her first birthday.  She's into everything too...cabinets, drawers, boxes, you name it....she wants it!  She still has no teeth, but every day I wonder if one will pop through.  She's still on baby food, but I'm trying to introduce real food each day.  We're also working on the sippy cup, but she still loves her bottle.  She is very verbal, and she loves to mimic sounds with us.  She can wave, and she sometimes will do it on command.  The sweetest thing she does though is to give "love".  Here are a few pictures and one video of her 11 month progress.  Enjoy!

I love how she is squatting to get a toy.

We are three weeks away from her 12 month birthday and party!  I can't wait to celebrate!

Down and Dirty Mud Run

This past weekend, Mitch and Chris decided to do the Merrell Down and Dirty Mud Run.  Amy, Ansley, and I all took the trip up to Conyers early that morning.  It was a beautiful day, and we enjoyed getting to spend some time with our friends, the Arnolds.  Mitch and Chris both did great and had a fun time.  Chris finished the obstacle course race in just over 42 minutes, and Mitch finished right at 46 minutes.  They were definitely muddy at the end, and it was really fun watching everyone finish the race.

Getting ready to run.
I had to get this picture.  The lady in the red was an older woman probably in her 60s.  She did great!
Chris is having no problems with the rock wall.
